Wow! Just the concept alone is really great! I'd like to know how you came up with it... is there any logic/symbolism/thinking behind it, or was this just a "hey, that'd be cool" kind of deal? 'Cause it definitly got there.
It reminds me alot of the patterns sometimes found on chinese clothing.
I can't claim that it's a totally original idea, if you look around it not too hard to find other pictures done in a similar way.... but that true for most things in photography, and I just try to bring my own style and sense into any experiment.
I started out doing some other stuff with projection, like words, text, etc. It evolved into patterns after a few attempts The series of rust macros I had shot seemed like they've make a good effect.
For this one, I tried to get the model to work with the pattern a bit, by appearing to pull at the darker torn area in the middle.
